Experiment Raises Questions about Security of E-Implants
According to media reports, a British scientist implanted himself a RFID chip which he loaded with a computer virus previously. He is the first human "infected" by a computer virus.
Dr. Mark Gasson and his Team developed an electronic implant which enables him to do different things like open electronic secure doors and using his cellphone. The scientist uploaded a harmless computer virus to the implant to test the security of this technology. The Virus enabled him to open doors which supposed to deny him access. The virus was also able to spread itself within the isolated test environment.
